I would be the first person to admit that the ratio of men and women on the supreme court isn’t right. They should be more women on there. But being female shouldn’t be a big part of being nominated for the high court. We want the most qualified, most intelligent PERSON on the supreme court. Personally I think if Deval Patrick, the governor of Massachusetts were female, this would be a done deal. The dude went to harvard for both BA and law school, practiced as an attorney, was the US assistant attorney general under Bill Clinton, and has political experience. He would be my pick.
on another note, Michelle Obama is nominatable to the high court. She went to princeton for her AB and harvard for law school. She’s practiced as an attorney, even giving Barack his first job. And obviously has political experience. If they weren’t married, he might’ve nominated her.

The governent and Media ‘must’ be seen to be ‘equal’ to women who hold a very large vote/readers which they don’t want to lose - instead of as you say - looking for the right person who can do the job - male of female.

The trend in most western countries (they’ve seen how to get the female vote) now is to appoint females in jobs to secure the public vote - no matter how unsuitable they may be. And ofcourse the other reason is ‘its payback time’ for favors done in the past.

There past CV should be the ‘only’ requiement to get the job - Male or Female.

Hilliary Clinton is a good example - but in her case - its better to have the ‘enemy’ if front of you and on side - than have them lurking around behind you - ready to stab you in the back - so I suppose that appointment was a good move for ‘B O’.

I want to attend in Massachusetts college or university that are greatly apply with my major, environmental science. I also want the school that has most students who have average or medium SAT score. I very please from the bottom of my heart(not from the heart of my bottom) to anyone who may suggest me any colleges/universities. Thank you!

Information is below.

Because I’ve been a resident of Massachusetts a long, long time and I’ve only heard him talk about it in the past five years or so. Is that a long time in media talk?

Yes, the media can make any claim they wish and back date it to their liking. And as we can see, the uninformed will believe anything as long it’s from the liberal media.

I think the proponents of Universal Health care needed a figurehead. Ennie, Meanie, Miney…Ted

i REALLY WANT TO GO TO A COMICON!! so i was wondering when and where the next one is. M e and my friend want to go to one for VIZ media. she wants to go for BLEACH and i want to go for BLEACH and, DEATH NOTE. i need one that is around New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, OR anywhere nearby. thank you so much!

If you typed in the words "Comic con" into google, you’ll only get the one in California, because the name is almost, basically copyrighted as well as Comic Con is the most famous one in the US. Now try anime con and there are a ton more pop-ups. Specifically, there’s a website that tracks almost every anime convention in the US, but there’s no guarantee if Bleach or Death Note will be there unless you research the specific convention. http://www.animecons.com/events/ is the webbie. Good luck!

I have grown tomatoes last year and want to know fruits or vegetables that can grow in my climate.I have a medium sized back yard and a fairly large vegetable garden.I am buying soil and the vegetable garden is mostly shady around 5:00 but before that it is usually sunny.I need to know what fruits or vegetables I can grow before spring. Thanks in advance.

Wow. Are the libs in the federal government going to follow? Just another example of the left infringing on our rights.

your thoughts?

It’s just further proof that a lot of liberals are against any and all religious practices… circumcision is most often used in Jewish and Muslim families.

I think it’s up to the family as to what they want to do… I’ve actually heard that there are some health benefits to circumcision.

With the win of a Republican Senator in Massachusetts, the new media is signaling the end of Health Care reform. Since all those guys (and gals) work for us, what can we do to make sure Health Care reform is passed?
Too many of you don’t know your facts and didn’t answer the question.

Matthew C said "… If passed there will be a bunch of Government Workers deciding if your going to be covered or not, or if your illness is serious enough to be dealt with…"

As if that’s better that an insurance company deciding. Read this for more http://www.guernicamag.com/spotlight/1207/the_last_temptation_of_wendell/

JeffatKelly said "You could start by telling me why I should pay for an able bodied mans health insurance…"
That’s how all insurance works! They pool your money together with everyone else. So when you’re not sick you’re paying for someone who is, and when you get sick they pay for you. he also said "I had to use my VA insurance for 2 years while I looked for a job with benefits…"
My taxes paid your salary and your benefits! The military is a government run organization!

Uhhhh, the majority of Americans DON’T WANT the govt. involved in their health care. If you’re uninsured, you need to buy your own policy like I do.

Massachusetts for a political rally!
If George Bush had gone to a political rally to get a fellow Republican elected while people were dying in New Orleans, would the Democrats and the media rake him over the coals????

His vapid agenda is far more important to him than any humanitarian efforts.

MSNBC President Phil Griffin tries to explain away Keith Olbermann’s plummeting ratings thusly:

He [Griffin] attributes Olbermann’s January ratings slip to a news cycle in which international news, rather than domestic politics, was the No. 1 story. "On big, breaking international news, CNN tends to do better than us. They did a great job in Haiti, and I tip my hat to them," he says. "We’re the place for politics, and there are times when politics does great, and there are times when it doesn’t."

Domestic politics wasn’t a big story in January? What about the, er, special election in Massachusetts and the State of the Union? Griffin tips his hat to CNN for covering Haiti but doesn’t mention (of course) that FOX had its biggest January ratings ever thanks in large part to its political coverage.

He can try to spin it all he wants. It’s just a matter of time before he and his liberal loons are out of work looking for a job.
