Parent hood is not a property right it is a custodial duty, custodians do not redesign the buildings they maintain. They just take care of them by doing what is necessary. Male genital mutilation is not necessary.

I am against minor circs., however I don’t believe circumcision should be banned at a state level, it should be banned in hospitals. Allowing those who do it for religious reasons to do it with a Mohel in their church or home. However the rights of minors are being violated and therefore action needs to be taken to stop it.

I know I sure as hell didn’t appreciate my parents having me cut against my will. It has no medical benifits, greatly decreases pleasure for the male making sex, orgasms, and masturbation much less enjoyable and it also increases the likelyhood of sexual dysfunction.
Id rather have a whole penis thanks and that’s my God given right to have if I chose.

Every man has the right to chose what they want in that area for themselves, no matter what that choice is.

"Infringing on our rights." Uhm, okay, by circumcising your son you’re infringing on HIS rights. His body, his choice on whether he wants a part of HIS penis removed. Just because the parent may be for circumcision, does not mean the boy will be as a man. The decision should be left up to him to make for himself when he is older because he’s the one who’s going to be using his penis for the rest of his life. Only in leaving him intact (not circumcised) can he have that choice. Because a circumcision can never be undone.

And that’s what this law is all about. Protecting minors from non-therapuetic, cosmetic surgery when they can’t consent to it. It’s about giving control back to men in what they want for their OWN bodies, not what someone else wants for their body. No one has the right to force cosmetic surgery on someone else’s body, and there is no justification for circumcision.

I think it’s about time we stopped cutting off perfectly healthy bits off our perfectly healthy babies. The more you learn about circumcision, the more you research it - the more barbaric it all seems. Little boys are born perfect and DON’T need their bodies altered.

Most people don’t know it but - circumcision is an unnecessary, painful surgery that removes a functioning part of the body…it’s unethical because it’s done without the consent of the invidivual (whose body, whose rights?)…and the high, high majority of the world does not circumcise. Time America got with it and followed suit.
